A simple one ingredient coconut butter recipe that will boost your Whole30 recipes! Coconut butter is rich and creamy to help boost any recipe!
This simple one ingredient coconut butter recipe will become a fun and new ingredient to use in everyday cooking. Coconut butter is a versatile and cheaper alternative, when made at home. Coconut butter can boost many things that you wouldn’t even think would go with coconut.
Being on the Whole30 diet will give you a whole new sense of creativity. Especially when it comes to the fats and oils you’re allowed to eat.
Coconut is probably the closest you can get to something fatty and creamy without breaking the rules, so we decided to make coconut butter. This will be the easiest and the hardest thing you’ll ever do. (especially if you have no patience.)
Coconut itself already contains a healthy amount of natural fats. Fats themselves are said to be a very satiating food group. So if you’re looking for something creamy and filling to put on your toast in the morning, you should give this a try! 😉
The only problem is when you go to find this stuff in the grocery store, a jar can easily be about $9.00!!! With that price point, we would much rather take the time to get a cheap bag of unsweetened coconut flakes and make it ourselves.
To cut down on time, we would recommend grabbing a bag of desiccated coconut. It is much finer and yields a quicker result that is just as delicious as the big flaked coconut.
We recommend it with smoothies, roasted sweet potatoes, in oatmeal or paleo porridge, or even just for dipping with fruit or granola. You can use it in pretty much anything as a butter replacement. And if you appreciate a good texture in your food, you’ll love it!
