There is nothing better than making your own sauces. There is also a piece of mind knowing exactly what’s going in them. This tangy Carolina barbecue sauce is going to be your sidekick this summer! Great for grilling, flavor-packed party food, and simple dinners this spring and summer.
Compared to most barbecue sauces that are made with ketchup and molasses. This Carolina barbecue sauce is made with a base of vinegar and mustard. Our carolina barbecue sauce is great for pork, chicken, and seitan for all our vegan peeps. With a bold, smokey, and sweet flavor this sauce packs a punch.
We have never thought of making our own sauces until we went on Whole30. This recipe is by no means paleo or Whole30, but it is handmade and very simple to whip up.
This recipe is easy to make as well. Heat the ingredients through to dissolve the brown sugar and allow the flavors to develop together. This step is going to ensure you don’t get any clumps of seasoning or sugar throughout the sauce.
Store the sauce in the fridge up to two weeks. This recipe makes about 1 1/2 pint mason jars. Reduce the recipe to a half batch if you think you can’t get through that much sauce.
This sauce is a great addition for your Super bowl party-goers and on your grilled items this summer. This barbecue sauce is great in baked beans, mixed into a ranch for salads, or maybe even on some cauliflower wings that we have a recipe for here…… wink wink nudge nudge.
