This simple Whole30 compliant chicken stock is a lifesaver when you have searched all over for just a basic kitchen staple. Our Whole30 Chicken stock is a healthy and easy alternative that will add a little extra something to your next meal without the added sugar!
Jump to RecipeIt turns out that shopping for grab and go items on Whole30 is kind of a nightmare. Especially when it comes to shelf stable ingredients. We unfortunately came to this conclusion the hard way while shopping for chicken stock. All store-bought chicken broth, chicken stock, and bouillon cubes contain sugar as a preservative! Not to mention the search for just one ingredient across your local neighborhood is a little annoying. So out of irritation and sheer curiosity, this resulted in us making our own recipe. We find this recipe to be a simple Whole30 compliant chicken stock. It is delightfully affordable and a much healthier alternative to a pantry staple.
Chicken stock typically consists of water, chicken, vegetables, some light seasoning and a BUNCH of sodium. To reduce your chances of bloating, we found that just adding salt to taste and not to preserve helped a lot in the long run. Keep in mind that the shelf life of this product is significantly less than a store bought can of Swansons. The taste however, is to beat and you’ll thank us later!
Add this universally to any meal for added flavor. You can even enjoy this broth on its own during these cold winter months. Don’t forget to give yourself all of the credit for avoiding common preservatives and eating a healthy diet on Whole30. You’re doing great!
