Our name, Smokey Maple Bacon Hash is inspired by the natural sweetness of maple syrup with the combination of whole30 approved bacon, you’ll love this recipe even if you’re not following dietary restriction.
If you’re not familiar with the paleo diet, it is described as:
“A diet comprised of foods including meat, fish, eggs, seeds, nuts, fruits and veggies, along with healthy fats and oils. Avoiding processed foods, grains and sugar.” For this recipe we’ve combined these principals and created what we like to call our smokey maple bacon hash.
While in contemplation of this fall season, the first thing that comes to mind is always food for starters.(because we’re obsessed, hence the blog (; ) Then of course how beautiful the world looks in its richness of color, smell, and nostalgia. It always seems to give a beautiful start to the most wonderful time of the year.
However, in light of seasonal food we wanted to create something crisp that also gives you the warm and fuzzy feeling of fall that we all have grown to love and adore. Taking the crispness of fresh Brussels sprouts, pecans and bacon, along with the coziness that is butternut squash and lathering them in a perfectly smokey maple bacon sauce. I think we’ve captured the ultimate essence of what this time of year has to offer.
Creating the perfect fall dish in important. However, this comes nowhere near the importance of gratitude and love of one’s self and surroundings. Please take a moment during this busy season to set aside time to appreciate all that you have. Thank you for stopping by and supporting us this fall. We hope you enjoy.
